There are so many items layered across the iPhone settings screen that it can be very difficult to find what you’re looking for.
In particular, there are many people who feel dissatisfied with how much trouble it is to change Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings, where you are constantly required to return to the beginning screen.
However, there is a way to solve that problem!
(Unfortunately, only iOS 5 users can use this method. Don’t be misled.)
What you need is this application.
Touch Icon Creator
Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 3.1 or later
Category: Utilities
Updated: Mar 01, 2011 $0.99
Using this application, you can create icons out of your favorite images and place them on your home screen. Then they can be used to access phone numbers, SMS, and email as easily as opening your settings screen.
★Set-up
When you launch Touch Icon Creator, a registration screen will be displayed. First, you will choose a URL. Then, put the appropriate name in the name field, and put one of the example URLs in the URL field.
For Bluetooth
prefs:root=General&path=Bluetooth
For Wi-Fi
prefs:root=WIFI
Icon images can be set-up by tapping on your preferred image in the upper-left corner.
Once your image is chosen, tap the “Create” button. A confirmation screen will be displayed. If there are no problems with the contents, tap OK.
Once you do so, Safari will launch, and the below image will be displayed. Follow the directions in order to register the icon on your home page.
There, you’re finished!
When you tap your created icon, you’ll see the image below!
In short, you can access any settings page you want with just one tap from your home screen.
Doing this the normal way, it would take 2 taps for Wi-Fi and 3 taps for Bluetooth. As you can see, you’ve doubled your speed.
Please download and try Touch Icon Creator now!
(Touch Icon Creator is also compatible with iPad.)
Finally, here are some other settings from the setting screen.

Due to the specification change in OS, a shortcut to the preferences is not available anymore on iOS5.1.
Sorry, there is no way to avoid.
